There, he made conscious effort to volunteer and become part of the society because he wanted to also continue on with his father’s legacy, for he died shortly after he arrived Belize. He was passionate about the education of the mind and the progress of Belizians. He got Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Belize, before that he was a paramedic, working with BERT in Belize, having many certificates from many outstanding programs in the country. One can say he fits as a Counselor, a Nurse, a Teacher, an advocate, a Diabetes Coach, Promoter of small businesses in Belmopan specifically the homestay businesses which support families to make income from their rooms from Service Learning Students and so much more hat that he can wear. Thus, during his years in Belize, while working/volunteering with Youth for World Peace (Wellness Ambassador) in the area of Diabetes preventative and awareness programs, working with Pan American Social Marketing Organization, (PASMO) in the area of HIV/AIDS and STI education and as a registered Nurse with the Western Regional Hospital, Belmopan, he has been deeply involved in volunteering and activism with various medical teams in both the rural and urban areas, including a member of Belize Leaders For Social Justice. In addition, he developed his passion for nursing via this works. He knew that this field is where he must be. If he is to help in the development of new country and the world at large, this is the area that he must focus on, besides all its amazing attractions and adventurous activities, Belize is a developing country. Going into communities and getting first hand exposure on the way of life and health of individuals especially in rural areas made him realize that there is a lot that can be done. His people need him and he needs them. During His years of study, and many interactions with International students, especially the students from America and in general students from multicultural backgrounds across the world, handling and consulting with patients has opened his eyes to better understand what needs to be done in terms of education of patient conditions and primary health care preventions. He believes that his involvement in university leadership as the student government president and also the president of association of student governments enables him to fully understand the human need for advocacy and volunteerism. With all the accolades anyone can attain in life, there is no humbling feelings than that of humanitarian service, advocacy, empowerment of the new generation of youths that will be the future leaders of tomorrow. He is blessed to be a part of this new move of Nedi’s Care Africa where all is welcomed to elevate nations in Africa from the level of poverty that our leaders induced us into to a better Africa, where education is not a privilege but a right, where we are not segregated by our gender but are seen as one people, an Africa where poverty, crime rate, illiteracy and poor health is everybody’s concern and not just the poor and the less privileged in our society today.
